Job Description

Do you love writing? Do you have a special talent when it comes to using the right words to illustrate a message so that it resonates with the right audience? Do you like research? Then we could use your help!

In order to leverage various marketing channels to spread the positive and innovative work being done in Dallas to make our city a better place, we need funds for developing and spreading media content. We need your help in identifying the appropriate foundations and partnerships that have matching goals and award grants to journalistic and marketing efforts.

And the beauty of writing and research is that it can be done anywhere there’s an internet connection! Therefore hours and location are flexible.

Responsibilities

  • Research appropriate foundations and partner organizations that fund journalistic and marketing related projects
  • Write grant proposals that leverage our Dallas Heroes Project impact reports
  • Maintain a tracker of proposals and their status

About Dallas Heroes Project

Dallas Hero’s Project celebrates local heroes, educating citizens on critical issues facing the city, and enables citizens to take social action to make a positive impact in the city of Dallas. Each month we pick 1 hero, a person making a positive impact in our city. Then we try to learn everything about that hero’s organization and cause to figure out how we can help and get involved. Our hope is that through our marketing efforts, more Dallasites will learn about the good happening in our city & become inspired to get involved.

Dallas Heroes Project is a 501(c)(30) non-profit organization.
